Representative of Barkin Ladi/Riyom in
the House of Representatives, Mr. Simon Mwadkon, who survived the Fulani
attack in Matse, has said the corpses of victims still litter the scene
because relatives were afraid to remove them.
Mwadkon, who said this when Governor Jonah Jang visited him in Jos on Monday, described the incident as “horrifying”.
He said, “It is very terrible what
happened. I am yet to come out of the shock because the shooting was so
intense as if we were in a state of war.”
Mwadkon said when the attackers swooped
on the burial procession, everybody took to their heels, adding that
they had no escape route other than climbing the mountain.
He said he and the other two lawmakers
got exhausted after trying to climb the steep mountain, adding that they
fell down several times because of the bullets flying over their
heads.
God help us in ths country ooo. This killings are becoming too much.
