Governor of Delta state  Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan has said that no ransom was paid to the kidnappers of this footballer. This contradicts the statement by his girlfriend that a ransom fee of about 30.5million was paid to the kidnappers. Please these people should get their stories straight before coming out to confuse Nigerians. If I was to give a personal opinion, I would agree with the girlfriends story that says a ransom was paid. Maybe the governor is trying to keep it a secret so as not to encourage kidnapping, but on the other hand maybe his girlfriend just wants to get popular.
